- The National Park Service will be holding an Industry Day to introduce and provide outreach for upcoming projects in and around the San Francisco area projected for construction in the next two years. Highlighted projects will be located in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and other nearby National Park sites. Date/Time: Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 9 am - 11 am PT Location: General's Residence, 1 Fort Mason, San Francisco CA 94109 Purpose: The NPS will describe the general scope and principal characteristics of the program work to be done under prospective contracts. Attendees will gain information on upcoming projects and contracting opportunities related to construction. Highlighted projects will be located at Alcatraz, China Beach, Presidio, Ft. Mason, Muir Woods, and Marin Headlands. The NPS will also provide key terms, conditions, and requirements for Federal contracts; discuss contracting opportunities and provide business contacts for socioeconomic firms; and offer general tips on getting ready to do business with the government. This is a good opportunity for networking between potential prime contractors and subcontractors and questions and answers with the NPS team. NPS Denver Service Center and Regional Office representatives will be delivering this presentation. Who Should Attend: All interested companies - large and small businesses; prime contractors and subcontractors are encouraged to attend. Socioeconomic firms, including minority-owned, and disadvantaged companies are especially encouraged to attend. All attendees are also encouraged to meet and greet, increase business contacts, find potential teaming partners, and exchange business cards. No pre-registration is required. Please be sure to sign in at the door and provide your contact information to be included on the contractor list which will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (https://www.fbo.gov/) to facilitate opportunities for subcontracting and teaming partnerships. Note that future communications, such as publicizing future engagement opportunities, pre-solicitation conferences, and pre-solicitation notices will also be posted on this site. Parking Policies and Procedures Upper Fort Mason Parking: Be aware that parking in Upper Fort Mason is extremely limited with the following conditions: There is NO designated parking available for the General's Residence in Upper Fort Mason. Parking for handicapped visitors displaying valid credentials is available near the General's Residence or in any marked space at Fort Mason or Fort Mason Center at regular parking rates. All parking in Upper Fort Mason is reserved exclusively for the staff, affiliates and residents of Fort Mason Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm. Visitors are encouraged to park in the Fort Mason Center lot (space permitting and at prevailing rates) or on adjacent city streets per posted regulations. The Fort Mason Center lot is entered at Marina Blvd and Buchanan Streets. Visitors may walk back to the General's Residence either up the stairs or through the paths on the Great Meadow. The walking distance is about ¼ mile and the elevation change is approximately 55 feet. Visitors who carpool may drop off patrons at the General's Residence and then remove vehicle to alternate parking site. Parking regulations in Fort Mason and the surrounding neighborhood are strictly enforced by the local and federal authorities. Under no circumstances will Fort Mason Center, the National Park Service or its officers or agents be held responsible for fines, fees or towing charges related to improper or illegal parking. Lower Fort Mason Center Parking: Fort Mason Center does not guarantee parking availability for events on campus. Guests are required to pay for parking at one of the parking stations on campus using the parking space number indicated.
