Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking interested sources for the below requirement. The performance location will be at the Minneapolis VAMC. The requirement consists of the following abbreviated draft Statement of Work: Scope of Work-Annual Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) Annual Inspection of RPZ s The Contractor shall complete the annual inspection of approximately seventy-five (75) Reduced Pressure Zone Device (RPZ) located in various locations throughout building 70 of the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VAHCS) facility. General Scope of Work: Test the 75 RPZ s throughout the facilities and grounds of the Minneapolis VA Campus. Two (2) of these RPZ s are in a pit and would require two (2) technicians for testing. The technicians must be OSHA 30 certified and have had training in confined space work environment. Technicians must possess certification to ASSE Standard 5110 Testing of reduced pressure principal devices. Technician must be a licensed Plumber with the Department of Labor and Industry for the state of Minnesota. The owner is responsible to grant access and escort the technicians throughout the campus. All records of the testing will be forwarded to the Facilities Engineering Department and the Plumbing/Steam Shop Supervisor. Backflow Preventer (RPZ) Test Report will be sent to the City of Minneapolis, Regulatory Services, Minneapolis Development Review This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify concerns with the capability to accomplish the work. This is not a solicitation. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside/compete this requirement. Please provide all the following: 1) A capability statement expressing interest in this requirement, describing your company and its capability to complete this work. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications, applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in-house personnel. The capability statement must directly address the provisioning and servicing of equipment. 2) A statement or list of your firm's current or past technical experience similar to or the same as the summary scope of work for this requirement. Include a brief description of the scope and schedule for each similar requirement. 3) A statement or list of your firm's current or past performance similar to or the same as the summary scope of work. Include a point of contact name, phone number and email address. 4) A statement of your firm's business size and type (Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), woman-owned, Small Business, etc) utilizing the NAICS code 238220. Submit this information to Mr. David A. Raad via email to david.raad@va.gov. Your response to this notice must be received, in writing, on or before 5:00 PM (Mountain Time) on October 23, 2019.
