Description
Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify entities that have the resources and capabilities to provide preventive service and maintenance on Abiomed Impella AIC systems for the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Description of Work The contractor will provide all resources necessary to perform annual preventive service and maintenance on the Abiomed Impella AIC systems and perform repairs as needed. Technical Qualifications Service provider must be an OEM authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed medical equipment and services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts), verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. Interested & Capable Responses NCO 5 is seeking responses from entities that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources, capabilities and qualifications necessary to provide these services. Please respond with your: 1. Business name, business type, socio-economic status (e.g., Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), etc.), and person of contact (including telephone number & email address). 2. Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing annual preventive service and maintenance, and repairs on Abiomed Impella AIC systems for the Veterans Health Administration or other similar healthcare facilities. If your company is not the OEM, then you must provide an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM identifying your company as an entity authorized by the OEM to perform service, maintenance & repairs on the Abiomed Impella AIC systems. 3. GSA contract number, if your company has one, that includes line items covering these types of services in the Washington, DC geographical area. 4. Ballpark cost estimate of what the DC VAMC could expect to pay your company to perform the work described above per year. Responses must be submitted by 11:00 AM (EST) October 24, 2019. Responses to the information requested above must be submitted via email to james.whisner@va.gov. This request for information/sources sought notice is for planning purposes ONLY. The results of this market research will assist in the development of (1) the requirement, and (2) the acquisition strategy (e.g., small business set-aside, full and open competition, etc.). VA assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred associated with the preparation of responses submitted as a result of this notice.
