Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY The purpose of this notice is to obtain information on Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, or Small Businesses (SB) interests, capabilities, and qualifications to determine if a set-aside is appropriate. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Proposals are NOT being requested or accepted at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, requests letters of interest from SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, and SB CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS interested in performing construction work at the William S. Middleton VA Medical Center, 2500 Overlook Terrace, Madison, WI. This project will use NAICS Code: 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors; size standard $16.5 million. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. Project Description: Project 607-19-103 Upgrade Elevators, requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision. This project involves modernization and renovations to the Hospital Star & Morgue elevators, elevator controls, traction & hydraulic equipment, machine rooms, machine room equipment, traction motors, cabs/car interiors, hall light & buttons and to bring all elevator elements up to ASME and VA codes and standards. Work includes but is not limited to: elevator control systems, door operators, machine room upgrades, machine room equipment, traction motor upgrades, elevator hydraulics, interior elevator car finishes and lighting, hall call buttons, hall call lights and lanterns, demolition, hazardous material removal and disposal, fire protection, air handling system, HVAC ductwork and piping, controls, electrical power, lighting and telecommunications. Detailed phasing is required to minimize down time and impact to the hospital. The Star Elevators include Cars P-8, P-9 & P-10; 10 stop elevators rated at 4000# Capacity, 500 FPM with gearless hoist machines, Swift Meridia controllers and Magnatek DC drives. The Morgue Elevator S-7 is a two-stop Montgomery Hydraulic vintage 1978. Estimated Period of Performance: Project duration is 365 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. Interested sources shall submit the following: 1. Company name, address, point of contact, phone number, DUNS number, and business status. 2. Indicate the primary nature of your business, any teaming agreements or arrangements, self- performance and intentions of subcontracting program, including Set-Asides; 3. Documentation relating to capability of performance. Provide two (2) examples of projects similar in scope, complexity, and cost magnitude of project description above. 4. Letter from the surety regarding the maximum bonding capability for a single contract action as well as the total aggregate bonding capacity. Total submittal shall be no longer than (3) three pages in one.pdf file or word document. Responses are required to be sent via email to Stacy.Hoover2@va.gov, no later than 1:00pm Local Time, October 23, 2019. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of potential qualified contractors before determining the method of acquisition. In addition, this sources sought is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, nor will the government pay for any information solicited or delivered.
