- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a limited-competitive basis two (2) P/N 30R0162G01 Mold Fixtures for Fleet Readiness Center South East (FRCSE). The mold fixtures are used to inject mold silicone rubber into the three (3) F414 fan stator case flow-paths. The mold fixtures are an integral part of the facility equipment and are needed to maintain production capability to meet the increasing demand for F414 modules. The existing fixtures have required periodic repairs and adjustments; procuring additional fixtures provides the opportunity for a more sustained preventive maintenance program. The Government intends to issue on a limited competitive basis with GE Aviation Inc., and its authorized vendors that are capable of meeting the requirements. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, GE Aviation Inc. and its authorized vendors are considered the only responsible sources to perform this effort. The Government does not possess the technical data rights and drawings for this support equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
