Description
Synopsis: The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Acquisition & Relocation Management intends to issue a single Indefinite-Delivery /Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the secured transportation of bulk marijuana and pharmaceuticals for the Houston, El Paso, and Phoenix Field Divisions. The anticipated requirement will include secure loading, transporting, and unloading of incidental controlled substances during the pickup and transportation of bulk marijuana from DEA offices, Destruction Facilities (DF), and other locations. This will require the Offeror to employ personnel who are qualified to legally carry weapons and who can pass a background investigation. The Government expects to release the Request for Proposal (RFP) as a competitive small business set-aside and in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 15. The anticipated award will be a firm fixed price contract with a base period and four (4) option years. The applicable NAICS Code will be 484230 – Specialized Freight (except Used Goods) Trucking, Long Distance and the Size Standard $27.5 million. The Offeror will be evaluated based on: Management Capabilities, Technical Approach, Past Performance, and Price. Award will be based on the lowest priced technically acceptable method. This RFP does not commit the Government to pay any cost incurred in the submission of a proposal or to award a contract for these services. Please note that the Contracting Officer is the only individual who may legally commit the Government to the expenditure of public funds in connection with this procurement.
