- NAVAL AIR STATION (NAS) CORPUS CHRISTI, TX WATER SERVICE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and 40 U.S.C. 113(e)(3) which authorizes the Department of Defense to acquire utility services for military facilities, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast, Jacksonville, FL, intends to award a follow-on contract to contract N62467-70-C-0254, on a single source basis, to the City of Corpus Christi. This contract is for the supply of water service in support of NAS Corpus Christi, TX. Contractor shall furnish, and the Government shall purchase water service as requested by the Government from the contractor. Scope: The Contractor shall furnish, and the Government shall purchase and receive, water service (hereinafter called "service") as requested by the Government for the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi located at Corpus Christi, Texas. Service shall be provided as stated in the provisions contained herein, and pursuant to the Contractor's effective rates, tariff's, rules, regulations and practices subject to the appropriate regulatory body. Contractor shall supply clear, potable water safe for human consumption in accordance with standards adopted by the Safe Water Drinking Act for drinking and culinary water supplied by common carriers in interstate commerce and such revisions thereof as may be made from time to time. Contractor shall operate and provide its water service in conformity with all applicable laws, rules, codes, industry standards, permits and regulations promulgated by any and all governmental authorities having jurisdiction. The Contractor shall make available for purchase by the Government (NAS Corpus Christi), at the delivery point or points, potable water at a daily rate of not less than 0.6 gallons per minute (gpm) per connection at NAS Corpus Christi's water distribution system, in accordance with the number of connections as may exist from time to time per Texas Administrative Code, Title 30, Part 1, Chapter 290, Subchapter D, Rule 290.45. Interested water distributors: may identify their interest and ability to meet the requirements stated herein and may submit their authority to provide service in the form of a tariff or ordinance. Submission must include a valid Cage Code and Employer Identification Number. FAR 52.214-34 applies. The associated NAICS code with this procurement is 221310 - Water Supply and Irrigation Systems. Small Business size standard is 1,000 employees. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
