Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District has a new requirement for a 25 Ton, Intake Gantry Crane, at the Dexter Dam, near Lowell, OR. The work consists of replacing the existing 20 Ton Gantry Crane with a new 25 Ton Intake Gantry Crane, and manufacture, fabricate, test and deliver an Emergency Gate Lifting Beam. A formal solicitation will follow this announcement on or around 15 November 2019. This work consists of replacing the existing Dexter Intake Gantry Crane to increase reliability, functionality, safety, and bring all elements up to current codes and standards, provide for increased accuracy of operation, and reduce risk of malfunctions and failures. Work Requirement: The work consists of replacing the existing 20 Ton Intake Gantry Crane with a new 25 Ton Intake Gantry Crane at the Dexter Dam near Lowell, Oregon. The contractor must design, manufacture, install, test, and commission the new 25 Ton Intake Gantry Crane. The contractor will also design, fabricate, deliver, and certify a new Lifting Beam for the Emergency Intake Gate (E-gate) and will replace the conductor between the four (4) crane feeder receptacles and replacement of the receptacles to bring them into compliance with current safety codes and standards. If necessary, the contractor will design, fabricate, deliver and install replacement or reinforced the end stops. This solicitation will use a FAR Part 15.101-1 Best Value Tradeoff Process. This is a hybrid supply with construction installation contract. Acquisition will provide for Full and Open Competition.
