- Description
- The Contractor shall provide all approved supervision, materials, labor, equipment, tools, mobilization, transportation, and any other incidental work and accessories to Remove existing windows and replace with new energy efficient aluminum framed windows at JBAB-351 Washington, D.C. The Contractor shall remove existing windows and replace in-kind with new energy efficient windows utilizing the same style, color, and appearance as existing at DIA JBAB Building 351, RM 117. Demo and remove ten (10) existing windows and install ten (10) new energy efficient windows in the following office spaces: 117 DC, 117 DD, 117 DE, 117 DF, 117 DG, 117 DH (x2 windows), 117 DK, 117 DL, and 1and 117 DM. Post demo and prior to installation of new windows, contractor shall complete surface preparations to the affected areas to ensure proper backing and structural integrity of rough opening(s).Replacement windows shall be Single-hung Awning Style, Triple-glazed and Insulated windows with one (1) coat of Low E glass and thermal break included. *See Attachment C at end of SOW for proposed replacement window type. Include expansion joints and industrial joint fillers where needed; re-caulk with indoor/outdoor moist, mold and mildew resistant, permanently flexible, with caulk having 0% VOC. Provide interior/exterior caulking to match to match existing. Post-installation, contractor to provide interior paint to match existing color scheme around window casement and walls where needed. Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to isolate work area providing containment as necessary to minimize the spread of dust and debris. The Contractor shall not impede or block the flow of personnel from using adjacent office spaces or hallway area while under construction. The Contractor shall remove all trash and materials from the work site on a daily basis.
