- FY20 GULF COAST REGIONAL HOPPER DREDGING SOLICITATION This solicitation will be issued under Full and Open Competition. The New Orleans District (MVN) has a requirement to procure maintenance dredging utilizing NAICS 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction in support of the FY20 Gulf Coast Regional Hopper Dredging requirement. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, MVN is to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for maintenance dredging in two locations to include the Mississippi River - Southwest Pass (SWP), Louisiana and Gulfport Harbor Bar Channel, Mississippi. DESCRIPTION AND MAGNITUDE OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing one fully crewed and equipped self-propelled trailing suction type hopper dredge on a rental basis. Work will be performed in the Gulfport Harbor Bar Channel and the Mississippi River Southwest Pass. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is more than $10,000,000.00. NOTE 1: Prospective bidders are encouraged to examine the site prior to bid opening. The point of contact for the site visit is Mr. Kenneth W. Crumholt, email: Kenneth.w.crumholt@usace.army.mil, his office number is (504) 862-2489. All arrangements shall be made through Mr. Kenneth W. Crumholt prior to the bid opening date. Failure to site the vessel before submitting a bid will not be considered cause for claim against the Government. Note 2: Bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
