- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Market Research is being conducted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone interests. The Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is trying to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition to provide mail transportation services for the Automated Mail machine in building 10 at the Salem VAMC. The scope of the acquisition includes but is not limited to - Services are to include: Provide transportation, labor, materials, tools and equipment for the handling of onsite pick-up of pre-metered mail to include Certified Mail packages, FedEx Packages and UPS packages each day Monday- Friday, excluding Holidays from the Automated Mail machine located in building ten Sort through mail and determine: rejects, flat postage, metered flats, presorted flats, metered letters and letter postage Deliver mail that is good to be shipped to the Roanoke Post Office located at: 419 Rutherford Avenue, NE Roanoke, VA 24022 Qualifications for Mailroom carrier services: Must have own transportation If your company is interested in performing these services, please notify our office of your intent using subject line: solicitation 36C24620Q0033 Automated Mail Services. In response, please include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid as a prime contractor (capability statement); (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers; Responses to this notice should also identify whether or not the firm falls into any of the socioeconomic categories listed above. Your response is required by: 12:00 PM EST on October 25, 2019 All capable Service Disabled Veteran Small Businesses are encouraged to respond.
