Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b16 Bronx NY 10468 Synopsis: Please note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bronx VA Medical Center, is conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing the following services for Bronx VAMC. Scope of Work: This is the ANNUAL accreditation fee that MUST be paid to ASHP for our ASHP accredited residency program. The Residents in the program are paid by VACO funds- office of Academic affairs. The accreditation fee is a requirement to keep the program active and to continue to receive VACO SUPPORT. The fee covers the THREE Pharmacy Resident programs that we have established and covers January 1, 2020 thru December 31, 2020. ASHP is the only Organization that can accredit these programs. Background: VA Pharmacy Residency Program is the largest training program for advanced clinical pharmacy training in the country. VA trains approximately 333 residents annually in 83 American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residencies. The training includes a variety of practice areas, such as: Pharmacy Practice, Specialty Residencies (e.g. Geriatrics, Ambulatory Care, Infectious Disease, Psychiatry, Intensive Care, etc.) and Research. VA also funds the advanced training of Pharmacy Fellows. The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is funded by the Office of Academic Affiliation (OAA). OAA requires that such programs be accredited. VHA Handbook 1400.04 on Supervision of Associated Health Trainees also notes that the VHA follows the requirements of accrediting and certifying bodies for each associated health discipline And VHA HANDBOOK 1108.09 requires that all pharmacy residency programs be accredited by ASHP Performance Period: Accreditation Fees are paid yearly. This fee will cover time period January 1st, 2020 to December 31st, 2020. The fee covers accreditation site visits, periodic review, support from ASHP for improving residency training, and the use of the electronic resident evaluation system. Standards and consultation regarding compliance with standards are also available from ASHP Accreditation Services Division. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 813910. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing via email and must be received no later than November 08, 2019. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources for this procurement relative to NAICS 813910. Qualified offerors shall be experienced in addition to providers (sellers) capable of supporting this facility. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, and examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to DUNS number, address, and point of contact. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and received no later than November 08, 2019 at 3:00PMEST. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.sam.gov later, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
