- DESCRIPTION: The North Florida/South Georgia (NF/SG) Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intends to award on a Sole Source for the continued service to upgrade of the Siemens Building Automation System. The proposed source is, Siemens Industry Inc (SI), Building Technologies Division, Jacksonville, FL. This service contract will ensure safe and reliable panel upgrades to existing Siemens Building Automation and Control System (BAS) which controls the hospital s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and associated subsystems. The upgrade will meet all safety requirements, industry standards and regulations. SI service engineers have the Manufacturer s passcodes for the following units: Micro-processor panels to replace the RS485 TSP and Desigo software Continued Maintenance and services will include, but not be limited to, remote diagnostics, software updates, panels, PXCM controllers, backups and on-site reports. TERMS: 1. The projected Period of Performance of the contract is estimated for 180 days. LICENSE AND ACCREDITATION 1. Field Service Engineer must possess a Siemens certificate of technical training. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, interested concerns may submit clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. via e-mail to Scott Brickey, Contracting Officer, scott.brickey@va.gov no later than 12:00 PM ET on October 28, 2019. A determination by the Government Not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. The Government will not pay for any information submitted from this notice. This notice of intent shall Not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. A limited sources justification was prepared in support of this acquisition.
