Description
Invitation for Bid for Solicitation DACA65-B-20-01 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item of timber on approximately Two Hundred Seven (207) acres total located within Fort Drum, Jefferson County, NY of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The Item 1 and Item 2 are being sold per unit harvested timber will be sold by WEIGHT & any sawlogs paid on Fort Drum Sliding Scale ITEM 1 (TA 5E ASP) - Harvest Operation Dates 15 December 2019 - 15 April 2020/21, no tree felling 15 April through 15 October •Northern stand of 296 acres SHALL be harvested by 15 April 2020. Contractor may skid up to 15 May 2020 as long as operations do not stop for more than 7 consecutive days after 15 April. •Southern stand of 247 acres SHALL be harvested by 15 April 2021. Contractor may skid up to 15 May 2020/21 as long as operations do not stop for more than 7 consecutive days after 15 April. •Trees to be harvested are marked with BLUE paint. •Landing size and location will be designated by installation forester. There are multiple landings required due to a network of security fences. Suggested landing locations are on the attached map, but can be moved as necessary to facilitate harvesting operations •Potential metal contamination due to past military operations in the area. ITEM 2 (TA-5D) - Harvest Operation Dates 15 December 2019 - 15 April 2021 •All 13 acres SHALL be harvested by 15 April 2020. •Harvest are boundary will be marked with blue "TIMBER HARVEST" flagging. All trees within boundary SHALL be cut and removed. Trees to be harvested are not marked. •Landing size and location will be designated by installation forester. •Potential metal contamination due to past military operations in the area. (Wheeler Sack Army Airfield) - Harvest Operation Dates 15 December 2019 - 15 April 2021 •All 25 acres SHALL be harvested by 15 April 2020. •Harvest area is not flagged. The block is bounded by either road or fence and can be flagged at purchaser's request. All trees within boundary SHALL be cut and removed. Trees to be harvested are not marked. •Landing size and location will be designated by installation forester. •Potential metal contamination due to past military operations in the area.The above items are available for inspection by appointment ONLY until close of business November 18 2019.
