- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice. This notice is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). No solicitation exists at this time. PURPOSE OF NOTICE: The Sources Sought is being used as a Market Research tool to determine potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a possible RFP. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. We are only requesting capability statements from potential contractors at this time. Responders should indicate which portions of their response are proprietary and should mark them accordingly. Failure to provide a response does not preclude participation in any possible future competitive RFP for which a business is eligible to participate in, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of the interested businesses to monitor the FEDBIZOPS website for additional information pertaining to any potential acquisition and provide security clearances, if necessary, to perform the listed draft performance work statement (PWS) or statement of work (SOW). Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) seeks a contract for the requirement effort for the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) TRIDENT Inertial Navigation subsystem (INS) production and delivery. This contract will provide SSP with the required United States (U.S.) and United Kingdom (U.K.) Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Navigation Subsystem hardware, associated deliverables, and supporting spares for the SWS Inertial Navigation System (INS) production efforts supporting the OHIO and VANGUARD class Ballistic Missile Submarines, Nuclear (SSBNs) and the successor COLUMBIA, and DREADNOUGHT class platforms, including support for the functional and performance factory acceptance testing (FUNFAT/PERFAT), packaging, storage, maintenance, and refurbishment of the INS units prior to install. Specifically, the intended contract will consist of one (1) base year and seven (7) option year periods to provide the following efforts for the TRIDENT II (D5) SWS: Production and delivery of SSI Increment 8 INSs and associated spares for the OHIO and VANGUARD SSBNs and INSs for the U.S. COLUMBIA and U.K. DREADNOUGHT SWS platforms for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program. The contract is intended to include only Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) line items. The Contractor shall have a facility capable of building and storing the INS in accordance with the Government approved Design Disclosure Package (Not yet available). Interested sources shall submit a capability package by the due date of identified in this Sources Sought (10 pages or less) containing: 1) company name and address, 2) company point of contact, 3) email address, 4) phone number, 5) specifics addressing the work listed above including a current list of related past performance within the past 5 years. Only Electronic responses are acceptable and must be prepared in Microsoft 2010 or forward compatible format. Adobe PDF is also acceptable.
