- Description
- Draft MIL-PRF-32233B SSS - CFT 10,000, 50,000, & 210,000 U.S. Gallons This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for the qualification and production of the 10K, 50K, and 210K Collapsible Fuel Tank (CFT) for use by the U.S. Air Force. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. Below is a brief description of the CFT requirements and a Contractor Capability Survey, which allows you to provide your company's capability. If after reviewing these documents, you desire to participate in the market research, you should provide documentation that supports your company's capability in meeting these requirements. Failure to provide documentation may result in the government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. If you lack sufficient experience in a particular area, please provide details explaining how you would overcome the lack of experience/capabilities in order to perform that portion of the requirement (i.e., teaming, subcontracting, etc.) Identify any areas of work that your organization believes should be broken out exclusively for Small Business. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements are encouraged. As part of this Market Research, the draft performance specification MIL-PRF-32233B used in the procurement of the 10K, 50K, and 210K is attached. The acquisition strategy is a ten year requirement (2 year basic (with asset delivery options) plus 8 option years; fiscal years (FY) 2020-2030). Projected total of Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs) for this acquisition are 181 10K, 676 50K, and 451 210K CFTs. Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs) annually for this acquisition for (FY) 20-30 may range up to 20% of total contract BEQs. CFT Description: The 10K/50K/210K Collapsible Fuel Tanks (fuel bladders) are used as fuel storage containers for diesel and jet fuels when temporary facilities that can be quickly emplaced are needed. CFTs allow for the rapid deployment of large fuel quantities to support Air Force mission requirements, and provide critical short-term bulk petroleum storage for military operations. These CFTs are designed to support all applicable Fuels Support Equipment (FSE).
