- Appendices Prospectus The Ottawa National Forest located in the western upper peninsula of Michigan is pleased to announce the availability of our campground and recreational facilities concessionaire prospectus. The areas being offered under special use permit include, The Black River Harbor Campground and Pavilion facilities and four Bessemer Ranger District Campgrounds. The four additional campgrounds include: Bobcat Lake, Henry Lake, Moosehead Lake, and Pomeroy Lake Campgrounds. All areas are included in one bid item. This prospectus is being issued to solicit applications for a concession special use permit authorizing use of National Forest System lands and the operation and maintenance of Government-owned recreation facilities. A pre application showing of the site will be made available by appointment only between the hours of 8am central time and 4pm central time on the 8th, 14th and 19th of November 2019. (See appendix 1 & 2 of the prospectus for vicinity and area maps) Scheduling of site showings will be dependent on existing road and weather conditions, interested applicants can view the sites on their own if desired. Proposals must be submitted and/or postmarked no later than 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, December 13, 2019. Proposals may be mailed to the Ottawa National Forest Supervisor's Office, to the attention of Jim Sobrack at the Forest Supervisors address listed below. Proposals may also be hand delivered to the Forest Supervisor's Office during office business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday). Applicants must submit four (4) copies of their application package and supporting documents. Please see the prospectus for additional important information.
