This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for the information resulting from this posting. Previous modification addressed: Change of Set-Aside Update of Small Business Threshold for NAICS 621610 SERVICES: Per 38 U.S.C. Part 17 the Dept. of Veterans Affairs is responsible for furnishing eligible beneficiaries DME for use in their home or nursing home. An indefinite quantity of services will be furnished at such times and in such quantities as required, FOB destination. ACQUISITION: The VA intends to release this as a competitive RFQ on or about August 16, 2019. A single VISN wide solicitation will be issued. The VA anticipates one or more awards that will be by facility or group of facilities. The procurement will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The original pre-solicitation notice did not produce enough responses to issue the solicitation as a 100% Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621610 with a size standard of $16.5 million. The original pre-solicitation notice stated $15 million and has since changed. Any resultant contract will be effective for a Base Period of performance of one year. Four one-year option periods may be exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. Unless additional notice is given, or this notice is modified, the full RFQ will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). All future information regarding this acquisition including amendments will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This modification addresses: Provides a copy of the original Request for Information/Sources Sought document originally published in FBO.gov on 7-26-2019 under a different procurement reference number. This pre-solicitation notice did not correctly associate the original Request for Information document issued as 36C25519Q0670 on 7-26-2019 (attached) to the pre-solicitation notice, issued as 36C25519Q0699 due to a system error. This error is corrected by providing the attached copy of that document. Potential sources are encouraged to complete the questionnaire and return it to michael.cumins@va.gov. Note the forthcoming solicitation will be enumerated as 36C25519Q0699, consistent with the Pre-Solicitation Notice. 36C25519Q0670 is no longer a valid reference for this procurement.
