- Standing_Timber_Harvest_DACW65-B-20-03 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item. Item 1 of timber is on approximately 194.40 acres named the Lost Farms Timber Sale. Item one (1) of this sale is located on the southern portion of the Raystown Lake Project in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. The sale area is 194.40 acres and is being managed as follows: 4.76 acres of clearcut, 39.94 acres of thinning, and 149.70 acres of shelterwood. The main sawtimber species composition of designated timber consists of yellow poplar, red maple, black oak, and chestnut oak. Previously used haul roads, log landings and skid trails exist therefore site impacts with respect to new construction will be minimal. Whole-tree chipping is prohibited. An Erosion and Sedimentation Plan and Accident Prevention Plan shall be completed and approved by the Corps prior to the start of timber harvesting. In addition, Proof of Pennsylvania SFI® Professional Timber Harvester Training Program certification shall be provided prior to the start of timber harvesting. HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER: 194,318 BF (1/4") International HARDWOOD PULPWOOD: 8,020 Tons of hardwood pulpwood and 611 Tons of pine pulpwood on approximately 194.40. The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers ONLY ON FRIDAY 18 October 2019 AT 9:00 a.m weather conditions permitting. Pre-bid tour attendees shall meet at the Weaver Falls Boat Launch near Saxton, PA. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 24, 2019, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1011, and then publicly opened. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached to this post you will find and Invitation For Bid pdf file.
