Movable filing System Personnel Security Office Department of Education-LBJ Building 400 Maryland Ave., SW-Suite 227 Washington, DC 20202 BACKGROUND The mission of the Office of Finance and Operations (OFO) is to transform the Department of Education (ED or Department) into a high-performance, customer focused organization by providing services to our customers that help them do a better job of managing their people, processes, and overall strategy. The OFO serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary and Senior Officials on all matters related to financial management, financial management systems, financial control and accounting, cooperative agreements and acquisition management, related training, and budget processes and proposals. The Office of Security, Facilities, and Logistics Services (SFLS) oversees the Department's physical, personnel, classified information security programs as well as oversight of Department's Continuity of Operations Program. SFLS works with other ED organizations, the Federal Protective Service, and other local and Federal law enforcement organizations to secure agency facilities, classified information, and employees. SFLS establishes and implements policies, space standards and procedures for the design, construction, furnishing, operation, maintenance and repair of all Department Headquarters and Regional office buildings and provides a wide variety of logistics services to the Department. SCOPE OF WORK The Personnel Security Office requires a movable Lateral filing system to replace the old electronic filing system that was outdated and no longer serviced by vendors. The new system would provide a smaller overall footprint and easy access. The new system Filing system must house letter size documents. DELIVERABLES: ▪The filing system must fit in the existing room (see attached diagram). ▪Cost must include freight, inside delivery and installation. ▪ The contractor must also specify system installation and delivery timeframes. ▪Contractor must perform work during regular hours between 8:00am -4:00pm. ▪The Contractor must install double-faced filing units and stationary unit where applicable. ▪ The Contractor must determine the number of units to fit in the existing room.
