Description
NOTICE OF INTENTTHIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, intends to procure, on a sole source basis, Siemon Systems infrastructure products for telecommunications in support of horizontal infrastructure and data center build out within a military construction application. This shall include specific cable, termination, racking and patching equipment as indicated to work as a mated system. The supported construction project consists of telecom infrastructure systems that USACE intends to require a specific systems product line. Due to the unique operational requirements placed on network infrastructure, the user requires a homogeneous system that reduces the risk to network availability to the lowest levels possible and compatibility/interoperability with existing systems already tested and in use.The following items for inside plant telecommunications shall be covered under this Justification and Approval documentation (J&A):See Attachment for full Notice of Intent. All potential responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by the agency.
