Description
Ice Melt Provision toBedford VA Medical CenterContractor shall provide and deliver the following product to the Bedford VA Medical Center, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, MA 01730. Vendor is to provide up to 756 (50 pound) bags of ice melt. 72 five (5) gallon pails of ice melt, storage for entrances.Ice melt will have the following specifications to be considered of sufficient quality for this requirement;: Mined sodium chloride will not be accepted. : Each granule will have a purity content of at least 99% pure salt. : Each Granule is additionally treated with melting enhancer; which effectively melts snow and ice to -27�F. : Product is screened 5 times to produce uniform-sized particles that meet Pass 3/8 Retained 4, and Pass 5 Retained 8. : Must contain #4 green color indicator. : Must be completely soluble with minimal tracking. : Must contain both anti-caking agents and CSX Corrosion Guard. : Must contain no hazardous ingredients as defined in OSHA 2 tables or the Canadian W.H.I.M.I.S. regulations.5. The Facility will order on an as needed basis and throughout the winter season, delivery will not be all at once. The minimum delivery at any one time will be 1 pallet ice melt (approx. 49 bags) and the maximum delivery 3 pallets. All deliveries will be scheduled with the Contracting Officers Representative (COR).6. Vendor must be able to provide delivery in a timely manner, within 72 hours or less.7. Deliveries must be made between the hours of 8am to 2pm Monday through Friday.8 A Bill of Lading must accompany and be signed for each delivery to this facility.9. No changes to this Requirement can be made without the prior approval of the Contracting Officer (CO).
