- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE, BUT RATHER A SOURCES SOUGHT that will allow the Government to identify interested sources capable of meeting the requirement. The information sought herein is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for quote (RFQ), Request for proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or as an obligation or commitment on the part of the Government to acquire any product or service. There shall be no basis for claims against the Government as a result of information submitted in response to the Sources Sought. The Government does not intend to nor will it be required to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred by any respondent associated with providing information in response to this request. This notice is for market research purposes only and is not indicative of a full requirement.The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) is interested in identifying potential vendors who have the necessary capabilities to provide Light Weight Processor (LWP) Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) with the following attributes: Two or more quickly removable (by operator) computing platforms consisting of Intel i7 CPUs (4-8 core multi-threaded; capable of running any x86 operating system) with 32GB or more of DDR4 RAM and have Internal storage of 1 or more Terabytes of Non-Volatile Memory (NVMe) Be equipped with multiple interfaces consisting of video inputs/outputs (combination of HD-SDI and Analog), RS-232, and USBs, as well as 8-12 independent NICs Be equipped with removable storage drive(s) (2TB+ NVMe SSDs) that an operator can remove and install quickly as needed Size, weight and power thresholds: 5 inches wide x 3 inches in height x 10.25 inches in length; less than/equal to 10 pounds; and utilize 28 VDC (platform power) All connectors should meet MIL-STD 38999 specifications (IP64+ and EMI shielding) and all wiring will be IAW AS50881F Use Trusted Platform Module(s) hardware that supports industry standard Data-at-Rest security and either IP64 or IP66 intrusion prevention Prospective suppliers will provide substantiation to demonstrate their LWP hardware has or can meet MIL-810-G, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704 requirements for manned rotary wing aircraft. Potential sources are requested to submit a brief summary of their capabilities along with their systems capability, size, weight, power and interface information. All interested, capable, and responsible sources that would like to respond to this sources sought are encouraged to provide a statement of interest along with supporting data via email to Mr. Michael Wastella (michael.j.wastella.civ@mail.mil) no later than 20 December 2019. Once the sources sought requirement has closed, the Government will contact individual responders for any further information required.
