- **UPDATED 20 NOVEMBER 2019**This announcement provides details for the upcoming Industry Day to be held at Fort Randall Dam. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. This announcement and the Industry Day event are for planning purposes only. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse any party attending or participating for costs incurred for this event or marketing efforts.The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, 2nd Industry Day event will take place from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on December 3rd ONLY. Please see attached “FR MUR 2 ID Agenda” for a tentative schedule. During this event, in addition to a scope briefing, interested contractors will have the opportunity to view a unit, as well as take measurements and photos. Photography will be limited to specific areas pertaining to the project scope of work. In addition, PRIME CONTRACTORS ONLY will have the opportunity to sign up for a voluntary one-on-one meeting with the government during a specific time during the Industry Day event. One-on-one meetings are intended to allow contractors to provide specification feedback that may be proprietary or otherwise inappropriate for ProjNet publication and will not be a question and answer format. The government will not answer questions or share additional specification clarification during one-on-one discussions. DRAFT Ft Randall Major Unit Rehab specifications are posted to FBO for review. Comments will be accepted via ProjNet Bidder Inquiry through Jan 5, 2020.The Address for the Industry Day is:113 Randall Creek RoadFairfax, SD 57335 *Initial briefing will be conducted in the Ft Randall Maintenance Building. Please see attached “Industry Day Directions”* Industry Day will be held:Dec 3, 20198:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Industry Day Attendance:The event is free of charge and all interested parties are invited to attend. Attendance is limited to two (2) representatives per company. Please see attached “FR MUR 2 ID Attendees” for a list of individuals who have RSVP’d for this event. Only Individuals on this list will be allowed access to the power house. Project ID / Name: (461738) / Fort Randall Unit RehabSolicitation Number: W9128F20R0003Bidder Inquiry Key: VVKTXK-GR5IQH*Please see attached “Specific Instructions for ProjNet” Summary of Work:This project will provide rehabilitation on the eight (8) turbine generator units at the Fort Randall Power Plant. The rehab will include new turbine runners, new or refurbished wicket gates, head cover & stay ring refurbishment, and new generator stator windings. Other mechanical & electrical upgrades may be included in the work as the condition of the components is revealed. These items may include piping, coolers, high pressure oil lift and general mechanical work and miscellaneous auxiliary electrical work. The following major activities need to be carried out for all eight units: 1. Disassemble units2. Rewind unit generator3. Replace turbine runner4. Refurbish thrust and guide bearings (if required)5. Replace or refurbish wicket gates Range of magnitude: Between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000
