Description
The Ground Vehicle Systems (GVS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), W15QKN-17-9-1025, was entered into between the Army Contracting Command (ACC) and the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) on 26 September 2017, in support of Ground Vehicle System related Research and Development prototype projects. The Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (formerly TARDEC), wishes to contract utilizing the GVS OTA.This Special Notice is for informational/planning purposes only and is not a Request for Project Proposal (RPP). A prototype project will not be awarded as a result of this announcement. The intent of this project is to develop a prototype system for the Rapid Airfield Damage Assessment System (RADAS) project to deploy a capability to assess battle damaged runways. The prototype is a system of systems to rapidly deploy and scan runway and near runway surfaces to search for and classify georectified damage and hazardous debris in order to feed data to a software program to calculate a minimum airfield-operating surface. This award will allow for Follow-on Production in accordance with 10.U.S.C. 2371b(f), which states that, upon a determination that this competitively awarded prototype project has been successfully completed, this prototype project may result in the award of a follow-on production contract or transaction without the use of competitive procedures.NOTE:A prototype project will not be awarded in response to this announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC), and industry in general, advanced notification of the Government’s intent to host an Industry day.
