Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source RequirementThe Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, VISN 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.03-1, Only One Responsible Source for the following items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this medical equipment is 325413. The vendor is WERFREN USA, LLC, 113 Hartwell Avenue, Lexington, MA 02173.Description of requirements: This multi-site action seeks an FSS BPA to replace the current BPA. The contractor, Werfen USA, will provide coagulation cost per reportable result (CPRR) services and products for direct care of patients and veteran clients at 583-Roudebush VAMC, 506-Ann Arbor VAMC, 506-Toledo Outpatient Clinic, 515-Battle Creek VAMC, 515-Wyoming VA Clinic, 553-Detroit VAMC, 610-Fort Wayne VAMC, 610-Marion VAMC, 610-St Joseph County CBOC and 655-Saginaw VAMC. A firm fixed price BPA with two option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 4:30 pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 via email brooke.hansen@va.gov. Phone calls will not be accepted.
