Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE URGENT AND COMPELLINGProject Title: EMERGENCY REPLACEMENT OF ELECTRICAL SUPPLY LINE FOR USCG HOMER HOUSING DETACHMENT, HOMER ALASKAThe Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price award for the replacement of an electrical supply line in USCG Base Kodiak Housing Detachment, HOMER, AK to STURGEON ELECTRIC COMPANY, INC, 12150 e 112TH Ave, Henderson CO 80640, a large business. The period of performance for this effort will be a November 16, 2019 until power has been restored to the housing units. The total estimated value is less than $15,000.00.The proposed procurement is for service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency, where delay of award would result in serious injury to the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.Questions or comments to this Notice of Intent should be directed to Contracting Specialist, Martha Bailey, at Martha.l.bailey@uscg.mil via e-mail only (no phone calls/voice mail messages regarding questions will not be accepted and will not receive a response).
