Description
PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Thermo Electron North America LLC, 1400 Northpoint Pkwy, Suite 50, West Palm Beach, FL 33407-1976, for the purpose of procuring annual service and maintenance agreement for its existing Q Exactive Mass Spectrometer. The FBI requires an annual service and maintenance agreement for its existing Q Exactive Mass Spectrometer to include priority status for technical support inquiries, unlimited on-site service, one Preventative Maintenance visit, software updates and notifications, engineer labor and travel included, factory-certified replacement parts and a subscription to e-Support Online Technical Resources. The service and maintenance must be performed by an authorized, factory-trained engineer.Based on market research, and Government end-users, it has been determined that Thermo Electron North America is the sole manufacturer of the Q Exactive Mass Spectrometer and the only source capable of providing the required service, preventative maintenance and proprietary and copyrighted operating software upgrades to the existing Q Exactive Mass Spectrometer. This notice will be distributed solely through the U. S. General Services Administration’s Beta.Sam.gov Website (www.beta.sam.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the Beta.Sam.gov site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of: Kemper Wood, email address: KNWood@fbi.gov by Monday, December 9, 2019 (12:00 PM Eastern). Emailed responses will only be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.
