- A Previous RFI was posted to FBO.gov, titled “RFI F-16 Shock Dampening Tow Bar Adapter” with a closing date of 2 December 2019. This post is intended to be an update to “RFI F-16 Shock Dampening Tow Bar Adapter”. Please note additional information has been provided in this post (see attachments).The purpose of this RFI is to request industry response regarding potential technology to reduce shock loads on the F-16 Nose Wheel Landing Gear (NLG) during towing procedures. This RFI is seeking ideas and potential solutions that would provide shock dampening to the F-16 NLG including commercial off the shelf (COTS) products that could be modified for F-16 purposes.This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI). This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. There is no solicitation available at this time. Any request for a solicitation will not receive a response.Disclosure Notice - This briefing, presentation, or document is for information only.
