- Background / Purpose: In support of Soldiers’ training at Camp Guernsey, Wyoming. The Training Center Command requires: Eighty (80) railcar spanners.The purpose of the spanners are to provide support for unit equipment arriving and departing by rail.Minimum Specifications: The vendor shall provide the following minimum specifications:Railcar Spanners: No less than 50,000 lbs. max axle capacity No less than 2 feet wide No less than 7 feet long Reinforced kick plate Non-skid surface Minimal or no service maintenance requiredSpecial Considerations: These item(s) must be compatible with standard railroad flatbed rail cars and meet OSHA safety standards.
