- Description
- The Kansas City District Corps of Engineers have a requirement to fulfil adverse impact factors for riverine systems for the R471-460 Levee Flood Damage Reduction Study in St. Joseph, MO and Elwood, KS. One of the Supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA) is for the project to mitigate the unavoidable impacts to jurisdictional wetlands within the project area utilizing an approved in-lieu fee program in Kansas. The EA states that 18.7 acres of wetlands would be filled in Kansas.
