- THIS IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR SOLICITATIONAgricultural Research Services (ARS) is conducting market research to support the Application Technology Research Lab with a service requirement for seed transformation. The ARS is seeking business sources, including small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, 8(a) certified companies, and other than small businesses. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541380 Testing Laboratories. Small Business Size Standard is $16.5M. The following information is provided to assist the ARS in conducting Market Research to identify potential contractors for this effort:The Government is seeking capability statements from businesses capable of meeting the below performance requirements:The Government will send 6 plasmids (pTF101 background) to the Contractor for Maize Hi-II transformation. The Government agrees to fully sequence these plasmids to ensure integrity and send confirmation to the Contractor. Contractor will move these into agrobacterium and then transform into Hi-II. Contractor will create up to 6 independent events for each plasmid. The events will be pollinated and taken tl T1 seed. T1 seed will be sent to the Government upon harvest.Place of Performance:Application Technology Research Lab1680 Madison AvenueWooster, OH 44691Respondents shall furnish sufficient technical information necessary for the Government to conclusively determine that they are capable of meeting the technical requirements identified above.
