- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Charleston, SC intends to negotiate a commercial (GSAM Part 570) Sole Source lease under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The VA intends to award JEMA, LLC at their facility in North Charleston, SC for a maximum of 15,887 usable square feet of space. Current tenant organization Montague Administrative Facility occupies approximately 17,000 NUSF (12,000 NUSF + 5,000 NUSF added by Supplemental Lease Agreement No. 19) and requires a new lease of 15,887 NUSF. Movement to an alternate site for the provision of that limited increase is cost prohibitive. Staying in place saves Federal dollars for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Accordingly, JEMA, LLC is the only firm capable of providing the supplies and services described above without the Veteran s Health Administration experiencing substantial duplication of cost that could not be expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling its requirements.A justification for other than full and open competition is prepared in support of this acquisition. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Applicable NAICS code is 531120.
