- N0016420SNB16 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - AEGIS SPY 1 Radar Systems -Provide repair, fabricating, and testing of high voltage cables. - PSC 6150 - NAICS 237130Issue Date: 04 December 2018 - Closing Date: 20 December 2019 at 4:00 p.m.ESTMARKET RESEARCH - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): The Government is issuing this RFI announcement in accordance with DFARS 205.205-71.This is NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS and no contract will be awarded from this RFI.MARKET SURVEY - Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is seeking potential sources to fulfill a requirement for the repair, fabricating, and testing of high voltage cables, originally manufactured by Canton Connector. Companies with the capability and facilities to provide this type of supplies and services as well as the experience/expertise are invited to submit information pertaining to their capability to fulfill this requirement.The proposed contract action is for the supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract, with one source, Canton Connector, 26 Wrapping Road Kingston, MA 02364. This effort is anticipated to be conducted on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) which states the basis for restricting competition is the anticipated substantial duplicative costs to the Government to qualify another manufacturer’s product for shipboard use, which are not anticipated to be recouped through competition, and the anticipated unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency requirements through any other source. Canton Connector is the OEM for the high voltage cables.All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government.
