Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEThe Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for Kewaunee Scientific modular laboratory casework, to include custom hydraulic tables, snorkels, sink fixtures, engineering, and installation, for the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a Single Source, the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to Farnell Equipment Company, 2950 Todd Street, Troy, MI 48084. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 337127 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. It is the Government s belief that Kewaunee Scientific modular lab casework is required to match/marry with existing Kewaunee Scientific benches currently in use in the Ann Arbor lab, and Farnell Equipment Company is the only regional authorized dealer/distributor able to furnish the required casework and equipment for the Ann Arbor lab, as some components of the required casework are custom pieces and are not stocked by any national distributors. The estimated value of this acquisition is approximately $160,000.00. The estimated award date is on or before December 13, 2019.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
