- Request for Proposals (RFP) Number 72061120R00001 USAID Alternatives to Charcoal ActivityThe purpose of USAID Alternatives to Charcoal Activity is to reduce charcoal energy consumption in Zambia, and catalyze an increase in the use of private sector led low emissions charcoal alternative technologies and/or fuels in order to reduce deforestation directly attributed to charcoal production.USAID anticipates the award of a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, Completion-Type Contract for a maximum five (5) year period of performance as a result of this RFP. USAID anticipates that the total estimated cost will range in the amount of $20 to $30 million. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 541990. The authorized geographic code for the prime contractor of this procurement is 935.The Government intends to conduct the evaluation as an Advisory Phased Procurement with two (2) phases. Unless otherwise notified by an amendment to the RFP, no questions will be accepted after this date.Offerors are encouraged to read the entire solicitation, which includes all pertinent technical sections and the terms, conditions and instructions required for submitting proposals.
