- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for offers or proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly for market research to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. (For additional information on small business size standards and small business programs, please visit www.sba.gov.)Project DescriptionThe General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5), is conducting market research and is seeking interest for Masonry Parapet Repair and Spot Repointing Services. The purpose of this project is to restore the exterior finishes at the Peoria Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse. This work will include, but not limited to, masonry/stone repair/repoint and sealant work at the roof and parapets; granite repointing/sealant work at base of building and perimeter grass edging; replace expansion joints; level granite paver at building entrances. This is a historic building which is on National Register of Historic Places. The work on this project shall include historic building techniques for repairs and restorative work. The performance period is 176 calendar days upon receipt of Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award is on or about March 31, 2020.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 238140, Masonry Contractors, with a size standard of $16,500,000. The estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000.Submission of ResponseIf you are interested, please provide the following information. All information submitted will be subject to verification and additional information may be requested to substantiate responses: Are you a small or large business? If small business, indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s) (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned, etc). Would the work be self-performed or subcontracted? If subcontracted, please provide the name of your subcontractor. Do you have experience performing similar projects in a historic building? If yes, please include two or three projects similar in size and scope completed within the last five years. Please provide a customer point of contact (telephone and email address). If you plan to subcontract the work, please provide the aforementioned for similar projects performed by your subcontractor. Do you have bonding capability to cover 100% of the construction cost? Indicate your intent to bid on a subsequent solicitation.Interested firms should submit the above information to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist at the email address provided in the point of contact section of the announcement. An electronic submission is preferred. Your submission should be no longer than 10 pages. Responses are due by 12/6/2019 by 4pm EST.
