Quote: N0017420Q0008This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d).The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD), Contracts Department, Code 02, intends to award a contract for the purchase of diamond wires on a sole source basis to the following vendor:Well Diamond Wire Saws, Inc.4708 S. Old Peachtree Rd., Bldg. 500, Unit DNorcross, GA 30071.Vendor Cage Code: 1VMX5The government intends to award a 5-year contract (base and 4 option years) to purchase the following Diamond Wire, at the suggested quantity, each year:Diamond wire L: 68 m Dia.: 0.35mm G64 grit - Quantity: 30-50 rollsDiamond wire L: 68 m long: 0.50mm G64 grit - Quantity: 30-50 rolls**Delivery Schedule: 6 weeks (from date of award).Classification Code: 95 - Metal bars, sheets & shapesNAICS Code: 333515 - Cutting Tool and Machine Tool Accessory ManufacturingTHIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
