REFERENCE ATTACHMENT: SPECIAL NOTICE "RFI-AdaptiveSquadArchitecture" posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) on 29 July 2019.Program Executive Office Soldier (PEO Soldier) will conduct a 2nd Adaptive Squad Architecture (ASA) Industry Day on 23 January 2020 at the National Infantry Museum, 1775 Legacy Way, Columbus, GA 31903.Purpose: ASA Industry Day #2 is part of an 18-month (approximate) iterative process between the Government and Industry to arrive at a set of common standards and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) that will comprise the Government-owned ASA. The purpose of this event is to continue ASA dialog with our industry partners and to provide industry an opportunity to collaboratively shape the ASA. The Government's objective is to begin using the ASA no later than (NLT) January 2021 as the foundation for achieving the Soldier as an Integrated Weapons Platform and the Squad as an Integrated Combat Platform.Agenda: ASA Industry Day #2 will begin at 0830 hours Eastern Standard Time (EST). The tentative agenda follows:0800-0830 - Sign-in0830-0845 - Welcome0845-0915 - BG Hodne Remarks0915-0945 - BG Potts Remarks0945-1145 - Plenary Session #1: Updates on Problem Statements, Contractual Method to Solicit Industry Innovation, Industry feedback received from first industry day, and Questions and Answers Session1145-1300 - Break for Lunch1300-1500 - Plenary Session #2: Updates to ASA Architecture Assessment Tool (AAT) Demonstration, Soldier Performance Model (SPM) and Squad Integration Facility (SIF), and Questions and Answers SessionNote: The Government will post a copy of the presentations, attendees list, and recap of questions and answers from the plenary sessions onto the beta SAM website after the event.The ASA Industry Day #2 is UNCLASSIFIED. There is no fee to attend this event. Each vendor will be limited to a maximum of three (3) attendees. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred as a result of this Special Notice. This includes costs associated with attending the Industry Day.Registration Information: To register for this event, please submit an e-mail with subject line: "Attend PEO Soldier ASA Industry Day #2_23 January 2020" to Mr. Steven Lopez, at steven.e.lopez3.ctr@mail.mil, no later than 1600 hours, Eastern Standard Time, on 17 January 2020. Reservations by phone will not be honored. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis or until capacity has been met. PEO Soldier may not be able to accommodate reservations that come in after the stated closing date/time. Confirmation of registration for the event will be provided by e-mail.Within the registration e-mail, please include the following information:• Company name, CAGE code (if applicable), business unit, business address, point of contact/phone number/e-mail address;• Business type - Identify as Large business, Small Business, or any other socioeconomic type business;• Business Status - If applicable, identify as a Non-Traditional Defense Contractor (Nontraditional Defense Contractor (NTDC) as the term is defined in section 2302(9) of Title 10, United States Code with respect to applicable authority, meaning, an entity that is not currently performing and has not performed, for at least the one-year period preceding the solicitation of sources by the DoD for the procurement or transaction, any contract or subcontract for the DoD that is subject to full coverage under the cost accounting standards prescribed pursuant to section 1502 of title 41 and the regulations implementing such section. This includes all small business concerns under the criteria and size standards in Title 13, Code of Federal Regulations, part 121 (13 CFR 121)).• List of attendees - provide first and last name for each attendee.
