Industry Day Announcement - 2019BACKGROUND:The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), will be holding a Facilities Operation and Maintenance Outreach event for interested vendors seeking information regarding upcoming facilities management-related procurements in the National Capital Region area (Washington, DC, Maryland (Montgomery and Prince George's counties), and Virginia (Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties, and the cities of Alexandria and Fairfax). This is a follow-on event to the previous industry outreach event held last November 8, 2018.The goal of this outreach event is to inform the industry of the overall procurement approach for upcoming facilities management-related (custodial, operations & maintenance (O&M), consolidated facilities management (CFM), and elevator services) procurements, and utilization of the GSA Schedule 03FAC - Facilities Maintenance and Management. Small business assistance will also be available at the conclusion of the event.The acquisition strategy for these upcoming procurements is to complete all requirements to the maximum extent practicable, amongst GSA Schedule 03FAC vendors, utilizing best value selection procedures (technical and price factors considered), with the exception of services that are on the Procurement List maintained by the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled (see FAR Subpart 8.7). In addition, utilization of small-business, in particular socioeconomic (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVOSB), Women-Owned (WOSB)) concerns, will be a priority.All interested vendors (small and large) are encouraged to attend this event. This event is not limited to current GSA Schedule 03FAC contract holders; vendors interested in becoming a GSA Schedule 03FAC contract holder are highly encouraged to also attend this event.DATE/TIME/LOCATION OF EVENT:The Facilities Operation and Maintenance Outreach event will be held on November 12, 2019 at 10:00am at the GSA National Capital Region Auditorium, 301 7th St SW, Washington, DC.L’Enfant Metro Station (orange/blue/silver/yellow/green lines) is located just one block away.It is anticipated that the event will last approximately two (2) hours, with an additional two (2) hours allotted for small business assistance with the GSA Office of Small Business Utilization.REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:Interested vendors must pre-register for this event. A maximum of two (2) representatives per organization are allowed.The following information must be submitted to NCRFacilitiesVendors@gsa.gov no later than Tuesday November 5, 2019:- Company Name- Attendee Name(s)- Attendee Email Address(es)Vendors are highly encouraged to submit a brief (2-3 pages) capabilities statement along with their registration which may be utilized for future market research efforts.EVENT ACCESS:Attendees should plan to arrive early to ensure timely attendance to the event. Sign-in will open at 9:00am. A photo ID, i.e. a valid driver’s license, state ID, or passport, is required to enter the building.
