SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICESolicitation 36C25220R0034Project: 676-20-005 MH Inpatient Units Door Hardware and Alarm System Location: Tomah VA Medical Center500 E. Veterans StreetTomah WI 54660-3105 The purpose of this sources-sought notice is to obtain responses from vendors INTERESTED, QUALIFIED and CAPABLE to complete the work outlined below in order to determine if a set-aside is appropriate. Responses to this sources-sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. This construction project shall involve furnishing and installing a door alarm system on approximately eleven or twelve (11 or 12) single doors in the In-Patient Mental Health Department. The switch hardware must be pressure-activated alarm system or sensors that mounts to the top of the door. The switch must mount fully across the door width and hinge area. The alarming system must have isolation capability for maintenance. System must be compatible with existing doors in space with minimum modifications. System must have reporting feature. Sensor must be activated by no more than one pound of pressure or by interrupting beam. Work shall include the installation of door top alarms on swinging corridor doors of patient rooms in an active mental health inpatient unit. Systems shall include the door switch , Stanley SEDA , or Top Door Alarm, or pre-approved brand names and equal. This work is time-critical for the safety of the hospital environment. Period of Performance (POP) shall not exceed 60 calendar days after Notice to Proceed (NTP). This POP includes submittals, material orders and deliveries, field work, testing and punchlist corrections. Multiple shift and weekend work is anticipated to ensure POP is fully maintained. The NTP shall be issued approximately 5 calendar days after award once required payment and performance bonds and certificate of insurance is provided. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 General Construction; small business $39.5 Million size standard applies. Estimated price range for construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. Depending on market research findings and responses to this sources-sought, pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation is forecasted to be set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), At the time of submission of offers/quotes, and prior to award of any contracts, the offeror must represent to the contracting officer that it is a (1) SDVOSB eligible as detailed in 13 CFR parts 121, 125, and 134;(2) Small business concern under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to the acquisition; and(3) SDVOSB listed as verified in VIP database at:� https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov.Interested vendor shall notify the contracting officer of their interest and send their general qualifications to Kristi.Kluck3@va.gov (phone #414-844-4879) no later than December 9, 2019 at 4:30 p.m., CST.
