- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, FPS is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.This RFI is the initiation of market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 and is NOT a request for Proposal (RFP). The Government will use the results of this RFI to determine whether there are sufficient vendors that are 8(a) small business concerns to support a potential CCTV and IDS procurement during fiscal year 2020. The procurement would be for buildings in Federal Protective Service’s Region 3, with the majority of work to take place in Southern Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. The main scope of the project would be the installation and maintenance of CCTV systems previously purchased by Federal Protective Service. There is also the potential for this procurement to involve the purchase of new equipment as needed. Any equipment purchased would need to be NDAA compliant.At this time, FPS is requesting any 8(a) small business firms that are interested in this potential procurement to submit a capability statement no later then December 20, 2019 at 12:00 PM via email to Thomas Schrank at thomas.schrank@fps.dhs.gov.
