- Description
- The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to extend the WAVYSTONE contract. The extension is to be sole sourced to the existing contractor, L3/Harris Technologies, Inc., for a 6 month base period beginning January 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020, with a 6 month option period beginning July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. This extension is in accordance with 10 U.S. 2304(d)(1)(B), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The statutory authority states services may be deemed to be available only from the original source in case of follow-on contracts for the continued provision of highly specialized services when it is like that award to any other source would result in an unacceptable delay in fulfilling the agency's requirements.
