- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is issuing IFB 15B51720B00000001 for an award of a firm fixed-price construction contract for the Federal Detention Center (FDC) in Houston, Texas. FDC Houston is a Federal Correctional facility located at 1200 Texas Avenue, Houston, TX 77002. The project consists of foundation underpinning and miscellaneous repairs, to include but not limited to the saw cutting and removal of two (2) layers of interior concrete slab totaling from fifteen (15") to twenty (20") inches thick, exterior work for the removal of a standard six (6") inch sidewalk. All work to be performed mostly by hand work due to the closeness to the building walls and the limited work space in the building. It is anticipated that this work will be performed Monday thru Friday, during normal business hours. See the Scope of Work attachment for the complete requirements of the work. This solicitation will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.beta.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available however, the site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.The performance period for the project will be 240 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of this selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The NAICS code for this requirement 238110. IMPORTANT: This is an unrestricted solicitaiton and we welcome all bidders to submit bids. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.beta.sam.gov. Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm registration and all bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary.
