Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Cost Plus Fixed Price order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-15-G-0026 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation - Aerospace Systems (NGSC-AS), San Diego, CA to produce up to eight (8) AN/ZPY-8 Radar modification kits and eight (8) Forward Access Panel modification kits with all associated non-recurring engineering to qualify a new Mission Processor Unit (MPU) for delivery with the modification kits. The contract was awarded to NGSC-AS in the amount of $9,140,087.This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 19-0048, 19 December 2018 - redacted version attached to this announcement.
