Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24220R0029 - Install new floors in the Pharmacy IV Room 1B at James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Rd. Bronx, New York, 10468.This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238330 and has a size standard of $16.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $25,000.00 to $100,000.00.SCOPE OF WORK: Install new floors in the Pharmacy IV Room 1B. This work is to be done using the product described below or an approved equivalent. See PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND PHYSICAL CHATACTERISTICS below. This is to prepare and coat the floors in the Pharmacy IV Room in 1B of approx. 633 square feet Scope of Work (I.V. Room).The contractor shall remove the existing old floor (sheet viny). There is no asbestos under current floor as it was removed during the last renovation eight (8) years ago. This room is currently empty and does not require removal of any plumbing, partitions, insulations, barriers, etc. Mechanically prepare all accessible areas with the use of a Blastrac machine. This procedure removes:All surface laitance, oil, grease and dirt from the substrate and provides a mechanical profile to enhance bonding.Stonblend GSI - A three-component, troweled, 3/16"" mortar consisting of epoxy resin, curing agent.Colored quartz silica aggregate, a two-component, clear UV resistant epoxy grout coat sealer and a two component,Water based, non-reflective aliphatic polyurethane coating.New flooring does not require bracing.New flooring does not require stripping and waxing after installation.Contractor shall be responsible for removing all debris.New flooring requires at least 1-year warranty from acceptance date.PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICSStonblend GSI-G is a nominal 3/16 in./5 mm flooring system that offers a cost-effective alternative to terrazzo and incorporates recycled glass in the surface of the floor.
