Email to Andrew Taylor andrew.taylor3@va.gov with VA24419Q0161 in the email subject line, no later than 12:00 pm Friday December 13, 2019.STATEMENT OF WORK FOR RADIOPHARMACEUTICAL The purpose is to provide delivery of radioactive material(s) in the form of radiopharmaceuticals (radio-isotopes) to the Pittsburgh Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University Drive C, Pittsburgh Pa., 15240. Delivery shall be made to the section of Nuclear Medicine at room 1W-159.Product is used as an Imaging therapeutic radiopharmaceutical and administered by IV injection by a Nuclear Medicine physician.RADIOPHARMACEUTICAL DELIVERABLESDELIVERY All radiopharmaceuticals shall be delivered in unit dose form in lead-shielded containers. Plastic shrink wrap fitted at union of container cap and base to ensure proper seal. The delivery shall be made to VAPHS room 1W-159 on the date and calibrated for the time specified at the time of order placement. Subsequent deliveries will likewise be made as described above as needed. All delivery personnel from radio-pharmacy will first check in with the VA Police and be escorted to and from room 1W-159 by VA Police. No delivery charge shall be made for required additional deliveries during normal working hours, i.e. 6: 30a.m - 4:30p.m. Radio-pharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine to be furnished by the contract include the following items/services (Specific quantities will be provided with any resultingsolicitation): Item # Brief Description of Service* 0001 Radium-223 est. qty. 7,900SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSThe contractor (Radio-Pharmacy) will be required to attend a Post Award Orientation Conference prior to start of work. The purpose of the conference is to aid both Government and contractor personnel to (1) achieve a clear and mutual understanding of all contract requirements, and (2) identify and resolve potential problems. It is not a substitute for the contractor's fully understanding the work requirements at the time offers are submitted.The personnel assigned by the contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. The parties of the contractor shall not be considered VA employees for any purpose and shall be considered employees of the contractor.
