- The USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center is requesting shotgun metagenomics analysis of DNA extracted from 64 avian tissue samples. The service is to include DNA QC, Library Prep, library QC, 6M reads/sample sequencing, bioinformatic analyses (including strain level identification of microorganisms and their abundance, characterization of pathogen virulence factors and antibiotic resistance), and delivery of data, results to be delivered to Laurel, MD 20708.This requirement is expected to result in the award of a firm fixed price contract with a period of performance of date of award for 12 months. With one 12 month option.This acquisition is a total small business set aside. The NAICS code is 541690. The size standard is $16.5 millions.The anticipated award date of the contract is 12/19/19. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/index.html to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
