- NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to repair and/or modify the items as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit (Alliant Techsystems Operations (3EFM9) for the repair of: NSN 7R5865015648246, P/N 3313-AS-700-6, Optical Sensor Conv, QTY: 5,and the Weapon System, Ship or Aircraft the item is used on or supports. The government does not possess (or cannot provide) the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the item.This item provides for a total small business program set-aside. The applicable NAICS code is 334511. BUYER MUST DETERMINE IF THE TRADE AGREEMENTS ACT IS APPLICABLE BY CHECKING DFARS 225.401-70 for applicable Federal Supply Groups (first two digits of the NSN (first two digits of the Federal Supply Class)), if one or more items are subject to the Trade Agreements Acts, the following statement shall be added: One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the Free Trade Agreements Act and/or the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Based on Market Research, the Government�s need may be met by a type of item customarily available in the commercial market place that would meet the definition of a commercial item at FAR Subpart 2.1. The contracting officer shall solicit and award any resultant contract using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required. WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending.The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair.
