- Description
- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau) has a future requirement for the provision of medical services for federal offenders housed in Residential Reentry Centers (RRC). While the Bureau houses the majority of its inmates in correctional facilities owned and operated by the Bureau, there is a portion of inmates who are housed outside of Bureau facilities in RRCs, state correctional facilities (termed long-term boarders), jails/short-term detention centers, contract juvenile detention facilities, and private residences through home confinement authority. For the purpose of this synopsis, these inmates housed outside of Bureau facilities are collectively referred to as "Residential Reentry Management Branch (RRMB) inmates." Services provided are expected to fall into general categories of inpatient and outpatient facility and professional services which conform to community standards and all local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to the delivery of health care to citizens of the general public to those RRMB inmates located in the Mid-Atlantic, North Central, Northeast, South Central, Southeast, and Western Regions. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 524292 (Size Standard: $35.0 million). It is anticipated that an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract performance period will consist of a base year from date of award (DOA) through 12 months from DOA, with four, 12-month option periods for renewal. A Government Request for Proposal to provide these services may be developed, and a contract may or may not result. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not reimburse or pay a respondent for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.Attached is a copy of the draft Performance Work Statement, list of RRC locations, and Request for Information (RFI).
